We know it can seem like there is a never-ending stream of forms and fees as you get ready for your first year, but we promise you are almost there!

Please read the following TWO steps carefully, as both are required for your full participation in Orientation Week!

Step One

Join the Facebook Group!

Please ensure you are a part of the Meds 2029 Facebook Group (if you aren't already!) This group will serve as our main platform for communication throughout OWeek, so please join to ensure you receive all the required details for each event.

Step Two

Pay OWeek & CFMS Fees

The link above will take you to the Western Storefront to pay your OWeek and CFMS Fees.

THE OWEEK PAYMENT IS DUE BY AUGUST 22ND @ 11:59 PM.
The CFMS Fee is Due by August 29th.

We realize you are probably wondering where this money is going. Don't worry, we were confused last year too -

The OWeek fee collected from you will be used to support the purchase of necessary supplies for OWeek, including food, activities, supplies, and T-shirts.

The CFMS membership fee is a one-time fee paid during first year and offers CFMS membership for your 4 years in medical school. The CFMS represents over 9,000 medical students from 15 societies across Canada, advocating on behalf of medical students to the public, federal government, and national and international organizations. Membership offers access to CFMS positions, discounts, and other benefits.
